So, Love Locks are indeed quite a trend uh? Yes? No? Do you feel like you wanna buy one too and lock it together with your another half??!! You don't have to travel an airplane! We also can have it in Singapore!!
Yes, here! Singapore!!

It is located just outside Central. The locks is selling at S$4 each. If you think it's too expensive, you could purchase your own lock in other shop which you find it cheaper! You could also bring any materials that you wish to lock up with. (e.g, Photos, Notes, etc)

Like not so many locks hor??? Why oh why?! I thought very famous one! We shall do a compare after like 10 years, perhaps?

Write you & your partner name on a paper/card to lock together as it's quite difficult to write on the lock itself. Remember to bring marker! Easier to write too.

Lock it up & THROW the key into the river below.
No lah! Throw into the real river. Lolol
I bet there is many many keys in the river flowing. xD

Have you bought your lock yet? NO?!?!?
Hurry head down to Clarke NOW!!

Goodbyeeeee~~

[Cook Book]: What to do with Nian Gao (年糕)?

Nian Gao (年糕) is an auspicious food item made during the Chinese Lunar New Year period. It has been around for more than 3000 years. It’s believed that eating Nian Gao can bring us good luck because ‘Nian Gao’ is a homonym for “higher year”, thus symbolises promotions, prosperity or growing taller.

I bet most of you would buy Nian Gao for Chinese New Year right?
Usually what would you do with the Nian Gao?
Eat? Leave it there?

This year, I am going to make full use of my Nian Gao! (I bought 2 for goodness sake. Kiasu I know)
I still remembered 2 years back, there was always this aunty who makes fried Nian Gao & bring it to work for me. Now I had quit the job, I wondered if she still went back to deliver the Nian Gao she made herself.

Okay, back to the topic.
I have some easy recipes which you can try it out now!

Fried Nian Gao with Yam & Sweet Potato
Many many Yam & Sweet Potato!!
Ingredients A
1 tbsp of Cake Flour
4 tbsp of Plain Flour
1 tbsp of Rice Flour
1/2 tbsp of Tapioca Flour
1 Egg
1/2 tsp of Sugar
A pinch of Salt
40ml - 50ml of Water

Ingredients B
8 pcs of Nian Gao
16 pcs of Yam
16 pcs of Sweet Potato

Method
1. Sift Ingredients A into a bowl. Add water to form a coating batter.
2. Heat up some oil for deep frying using medium low heat. Reduce to low heat once the oil is hot enough.
3. Sandwich the Nian Gao with Yam on one side and Sweet Potato on another side.
4. Coat the sandwiched Nian Gao with batter and fry it.
5. Slowly fry the sandwiched Nian Gao under low fire. This is to ensure that the Yam and Sweet Potato are equally cooked before the batter turned golden.
6. Once it turned golden brown, dish up, drain it on paper towel and let it cool down a bit before serving.
